Sailing involves dealing with technology, interacting with the wind and the waves, enjoying nature, pushing yourself to the limits and working as a team. Above all, it is the way to higher levels of personal development.
Sailing is an experience sport. When you are on the water, no two seconds are alike. This is what keeps it fascinating, daunting and inspiring.

What does VVSC stand for?
VVSC stands for Van Vuuren Sailing Consultancy. VVSC is the expert of choice for every aspect of sailing - whether you want to sail faster and more smoothly, receive personal training, hone the skills of your crew to perfection, translate theoretical knowledge into practical skills, or obtain advice on buying ships and materials.
Erik is a yachtsman through and through. He was sailing with his parents before he could walk. Over the years, all his leisure time has been spent improving his skills on long and short (sea) voyages. He is passionate about sailing and being on the water; be it on a pleasure trip or in the heat of competition in a regatta.
Erik is a proven sailor and has booked many competitive successes. For example, his extensive CV includes a world championship title and victories in the prestigious Admirals Cup. He is the reigning Dutch ocean sailing champion.
Erik is not only a fierce competitor; he also sails for fun in every kind of weather. There is something to be learned from every trip, and that is what makes sailing so exciting. "No sport on earth involves more variables," he says.
